Meals on Wheels
Many seniors have difficulty shopping for food and preparing their meals. As a result, they might skip a meal or eat poorly.
Volunteers deliver nutritious meals right to senior’s homes.
Well-Being Checks
Seniors living alone can be lonely and even dangerous.
Our well-being check service checks in on seniors to ensure they are doing OK and can provide assistance as needed.
For active seniors, we offer Senior Dining locations and events throughout Kane County where seniors can gather together for a meal and enjoy social connections.
Many seniors have pets to keep them company. But when seniors have trouble caring for them, it can cause them great stress.
We provide pet food and assistance to seniors needing help.
Keeping our seniors active mentally and physically is a goal of ours.
Our Health & Wellness Education program helps keep seniors healthy and in the know.
Our Intergenerational Activities program helps connect younger generations with our seniors by initiating fun and special activities and events.
About Kane Senior Council
Kane Senior Council has been serving seniors in Kane County since 2018. But we have DEEP ROOTS in the senior community. In fact, our roots go back to 1974 when DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) began advocating and providing services for seniors in need in DuPage County, Illinois.
We began in Kane County by serving meals to seniors struggling with food insecurity and nutrition. Since then, we’ve expanded our services to help seniors live independently and stay connected and active in the community.
