What We’re Doing To Keep Our Seniors, Staff and Volunteers Safe

KSC UPDATES

The safety of our seniors, staff and volunteers are our top priority. As such, we are following the direction of the Centers For Disease Control (CDC), the Illinois Department On Aging (IDOA) and other agencies in order to do everything we can to ensure the safety of all those around us.

This page will be updated as new information becomes available.

IMPACTED PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND EVENTS

Some KSC services and events may be impacted by the recommendations from the agencies in order to protect seniors, staff and volunteers. When services or events are affected, we will post about it here.


HOME DELIVERED MEALS / MEALS ON WHEELS

In addition to daily home delivered meals, our volunteers will also deliver 5 frozen meals at one time for the seniors. Delivery of the frozen meals will be on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.

SERVICE DISRUPTIONS

The following DSCC services are suspended until further notice:

    • Senior Dance Parties
    • Community Dining
    • Intergenerational Activities

PET CARE & FOOD ASSISTANCE

We have resumed pet food assistance but are not currently offering pet care assistance at this time.

MARCH FOR MEALS / CHAMPIONS FOR MEALS

The “March for Meals/Champions for Meals” outreach project that was scheduled for March has been postponed.


COMMUNITY DINING / MEAL PICK UP

Although our community dining program is currently paused, we do have several locations throughout Kane County where meals can be picked up.
